What is double opt-in?
After a new subscriber enters their email address in your newsletter form, the contact status is Unconfirmed. Pressbase will immediately send a confirmation email to the subscriber email; if the subscriber clicks the confirmation link in the email, their status will become Confirmed.
When you send a newsletter, you'll be able to filter subscribers by their status. Most businesses will choose to only sending newsletters to Confirmed subscribers.
What are the benefits of double opt-in?
The major benefit is reducing spam complaints & email bounces and protect your sending reputation.
How to turn on double opt-in?
To turn on double opt-in for your newsroom, please go to Newsroom admin > Newsletter > Forms > Settings > turn on Double opt-in.
You can customize the Email template including sender information for double opt-in confirmation message by clicking the Edit email template link at the bottom.
